Should you one day find your way to us, we hope you will not expect an opulent château, dazzling technologies, or an elaborate range of wines. What we offer instead is something honest, engaging, and deeply grounded in experience—because we believe that true winemaking is a practice of living in rhythm with nature, with stillness, and with one's original intention.
After completing our Oeno studies in France, we did not take the road to Bordeaux's grand estates. We were drawn instead to Burgundy, where philosophy and terroir shape every gesture of the craft. For us, a Domaine represents tradition, simplicity, and the quiet purity of something made by hand.
Beneath this unadorned exterior lies a profound commitment to biodynamic viticulture—rooted in Rudolf Steiner's anthroposophy, strengthened by doctoral-level studies in oenology, and realized through our journey from Burgundy back to the foothills of the Helan Mountains in Ningxia.

A simple in social media search for "Domaine des Arômes" will lead you to a tapestry of impressions and reflections from sommeliers, critics, and fellow wine lovers. To us, wine is a living work of art—something that breathes and matures in the vat, the barrel, and the bottle, the savoir faire. Like a companion, it evolves with time.
Where a painter works with color, and a writer with words, we express through wine our love for our homeland. And if, upon opening a bottle of Domaine des Arômes, you taste the saline trace of Helan's alkaline soil, the fragrance of wild elaeagnus in bloom, the fierce sunlight, the arid wind—and sense, too, the quiet integrity of its maker—then that alone is our greatest reward.

With a BA in Finance from Shandong University and a dual degree in Economics from the University of Rennes 1 in France, I later earned a master's degree in Wine Culture and International Trade from Agrosup Dijon. From 2010 to 2013, I served as Assistant Director for Asian Markets at PION s.a.s, a Burgundy based wine group.Returning to China to establish Domaine des Arômes, I also studied under Professor Li Hua while pursuing doctoral research in wine marketing, focusing on classification systems and pricing structures.I was later selected for Ningxia's "Hundred Talents" Overseas Expert Program and currently serve as Vice President of both the Ningxia Women's Federation and the Overseas Chinese Association.
PENG Shuai | Winemaker
I have been SUN Miao's classmate since high school. After earning a degree in Biological Sciences from Shandong University, I continued my studies in France, obtaining the French National Diploma in Oenology (D.N.O.). Over three years of hands-on winemaking in France, I apprenticed at Domaine Emmanuel Giboulot (Burgundy), Domaine de la Solitude (Châteauneuf-du-Pape), and Domaine Rémi Chomel (Rhône Valley).Upon returning to China, I pursued a Ph.D. in wine microbiology under Professor Li Hua and now teach at Gansu Agricultural University. In parallel, I serve as consulting winemaker for boutique wineries and was elected to China's National Youth Federation in 2020.
